Easter Alpine Riding

Managed to escape up to Falls Creek with good mate Ports on Sunday for a bit of Easter MTBing.

Easter usually means camping, cycling, or both. Well the camping didn't happen this year, but the riding was great.

(Last Easter's adventures - here)

Started at Falls Creek (Windy Corner) and heading out over the dam wall and along the newly sealed Bogong High Plains Rd. Took a left up the 'Paralyser' (2km tech-ish climb, not too steep but constant, named by the XC skiiers that use the climb in winter). Then we worked our way out over Mt Nelse, then out past Spjon Kopfe and down towards Ropers Hut. Stopped at an appropriate place for a bite of lunch, then turned around and rode back.

Not a huge ride - 30km - but great fun, I love riding in new places, and the alpine environment is certainly different to what I'm used to.
