Big realisation tonight - there is a very big difference (and a very big gap) between being commuting fit and racing fit.
Club dirt crit tonight with a bit of climbing - fairly challenging. Did ok, got beaten by a guy who I normally beat, but he's been working hard on his technique and I haven't. 20km of singletrack at about 95-98% of HRmax.
And plus the ride there and back, weighed in at 36km on the double squishy for the night.
Note to self - need to include some hills in the daily commute I think.
