A local cyclist's life was lost this morning, after a serious accident yesterday.
Details are sketchy at present, as you can imagine there is a fair bit of scuttlebutt flying around the cycling community as to how and why the accident occurred. There has been no official release regarding cause, or the name of the cyclist, but I understand it to be a fellow that I have met and ridden with on a couple of occassions.
A sad time for all involved, and I feel very deeply for the other cyclists present that witnessed the accident, and the driver involved.
