Granny was the predominant gear for the day, anything bigger than that and the back wheel was just spinning. Significant amount of time spent with front and rear wheels heading in completely different directions.
Sport A called for 3 laps. After 2 I was just over it. It was great fun, but a 6.5km lap was taking 40 minutes, and track conditions were rapidly deteriorating. I could have gone out for the last lap, but that would have left my travelling companion standing in the rain and cold for an unnecessarily long time.
Not racing for sheep stations, I pulled the pin.
